Caterpillar D7G

STS Caterpillar D7GThe D7G, a common construction tractor that has been armored, has been equipped with the Standardized Teleoperation System (STS) kit for the US Army. The STS kit is visible above the cab in the photo above. The D7G is currently being upgraded to the current-generation Standardized Robotic System (SRS).

 

D7G Missions:
  • Minefield Breaching/Clearing
  • Obstacle Removal
  • Trench Breaching
  • Grading

 

  • Excavating
  • Route/Area Proofing
  • Pushing/Towing

Caterpillar D8N

STS Caterpillar D8NThe D8N, another common construction tractor, has been equipped with STS. The STS kit is visible above the cab in the photo above. The D8N is scheduled for upgrade to the SRS system.

The D8N's missions are similar to the D7G's.

John Deere T3

STS John Deere T3The T3, a small construction tractor, has been equipped with STS. The STS kit is shown attached to the back of the tractor in the photo on the right. The forward looking camera is visible above the driver's seat in the left photo. The T3 is scheduled for upgrade to the SRS system.

The T3's missions are similar to the D7G and D8N.
