 BASE
ANTENNA (BANT)
The
BANT provides the Standardized Robotic System Command
Vehicle with:
- video
receiver log periodic (LP) antennas,
-
a Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) and Bandpass filter,
- the
telemetry transceiver omnidirectional antenna and bandpass filter, and
-
the Safety Radio Transmitter backup omnidirectional
antenna.
These three antenna arrays and their associated LNA(s) and filters are
potted into a fiberglass mast with no external features except for the
whip antenna. The mast is capable of limited manual rotation by the Operator
Control Unit operator. The BANT spring base mounts directly to the
Base Radio Unit.
