ORI'S Dave Parish Receives $10,000 and Microsoft Excellence in CAD Award

Englewood, Colorado -- March 6, 1997:  Design News magazine presented David Parish, President and founder of Omnitech Robotics, Inc. (ORI) with $10,000 and the "1996 Microsoft PC Excellence in Computer-Aided Design" award for the elegance, practicality, and robustness of his robotics designs.

ORI developed and manufactures the Standardized Teleoperation System (STS), a kit for converting any ground vehicle to remote or semiautonomous control.  The STS system protects troops during mine field clearing missions and is presently used by three US Army divisions in Bosnia-Herzegovina (Design News, 3/3/97, pg. 112-114).
